Can anyone say if it's possible to play a VCD that was created on a CD-r on any standalone players.

I have the Dazzle video edit suite, and it's easily possible to convert Video to VCD. My phillips 730 won't play them though (it's very old model).

    Thanks

.....but very FEW DVD players will play CD-Rs (irrespective of what's on them - VCD or Audio). It will probably be explicitly mentioned in the manual or promo stickers etc., if they can.

All is not lost, however. The likelihood is that, even if it won't play CD-Rs, it probably WILL play CD-RWs. So, master your VCD onto a CD-RW disc if necessary.
