    Hi all
Do any of you use a seperate CD player or transport along with your TMA kit?
I currently have a DVD32flr and a AV32R bp192 sp , and yet I have a strange compulsion to add a CDP to the system.
    Any comments welcome

    Regards mrblue

    Hi,

I do use a seperate CDT for cd's but only because I had one spare... Using the 32FLR, I don't think there is anything to gain by adding a CDT. Save your money! :)

Ah, but you still use your CDT. could you tell me what make it is?
I have thought long and hard about the DP upgrade to the 32r, but the mean 90 day warrenty and the current situation have so far stopped me.

    Regards mrblue

    Hi,

I'm using the TAG CDT20 - Only though because it wasn't doing anything so thought I'd make use of it and spread the wear and tear. I wouldn't make a point of buying one though if your using the 32flr.

I've just had my unit upgraded to the DP. It took 4 weeks (which was good I thought) and it's the best upgrade I've ever paid for, EVER! - Just trying (struggling) to get to grips with the TMREQ at the moment but UrbanT has very kindly been helping me so hopefully should be there soon!

I use a Densen B400XS via the bypass of my AV32. I prefer it to the DVD32R.

I've been pondering wether-or-not to invest in a dedicated cd transport. I'm just a bit sceptical about the difference it will make, and wether it will be worth the money.

The CDT20r seems to go for megabucks in the classifieds & at auction. Even more if it has T2L (£650+ ).

Now, I'm sure there will be an increase in detail & timing, but £650 isn't loose change. I'd have to be seriously impressed to consider spending that much.

With this in mind, the other problem is that there just aren't enough around.

I don't know any dealerships that:

    a) stock a large selection of CDT's
    b) would let you have their listening room for 3 hours while you try to discern a difference between them!

Also, DVD transports just seem to get better & better as the months roll-on......

    Hi Kenny,

You can still buy CDT's from your dealer. The retail price is 750 but I think you'll find a word in the shop keepers ear will get a price drop to around 650 ;)
