    Hi all,

MY HK CD player is playing silly bu**ers at the moment. It's fine with CDRs, but most of my original CDs, it struggles to read - keeps coming up with 'No Disc'. Come to the conclusion that it's to do with the mechanism that 'grips' the CD rather than the laser, most of my orginal CDs have a full label and I wonder if that's the problem - any ideas what I can do? Reluctant to take back to the dealer, but likewise don't want to start taking it apart!
    Cheers

This is probably an indication your laser pick up requires recalibration (which might only give you a few more months use) or needs replacing. A dealer is your best option for the right spares.
