Hi,
just bought a Pioneer ax10is & Dv757i to replace my Arcam avr300 & dv 78...
Initial impressions are that the combo trounces thw Arcam for Av but don't match them for Cd playback (with the I link and through Analogue) ...
My thoughts were to get a standalone Cd player something like an Arcam Cd73 or another Cd player under the 400 quid budget..
Can anyone tell me is this worth doing or is the ax10is just not as musical as the Avr300 and I would be wasting my money?
Any feedback would be appreciated
Paul

Pidge - have you given the Pioneer time to run in as from new they never sound there best also if you are not useing 7 channels i would Bi Amplify the 805's with the spare rears to give more power to the fronts which will help the sound.

John,
the Ax10is is well run in as it is 18 months old...the 6th & 7th channels are being used to Biamplify my Nautilus 805's front left & right.
Thanks for your feedback
Paul

I would try a dedicated CD player then as i'm sure it will be better than the 757.
