    Hi all,

In November/December i'm thinking of upgrading my CD from an 'Arcam Alpha 7' to the new 'Arcam DiVA CD73T'.

What i'm wondering is how much improvement is this going to give me???

The 'Alpha 7' was my first step into the REAL Hifi world, before I just had cheaper players. I remember the detail that it uncovered when i first listened to some music, will i experience the same again if i upgrade??

I listen to all sort's of music really, but i suppose alternative/rock is my main flavour, the CD73T good with this?

I pretty sure i want to stick with the Arcam brand, as I also think they look pretty sweet as well.

So any advice will be greatfully received.

    Giz.:D

I've never heard the Alpha 7, but I have just bought the CD73t. The improvement over my old Pioneer CD-RW was amazing, or even the Tosh SD900e DVD player, which has good CD playback.
I did find however that the greatest improvement I noticed was adding the Arcam amps to power the front speakers, and then running the CDP directly into the Arcams. It might be worth you thinking about adding a dedicated sterio amp, or both amp & CDP if the budget will stretch!

    Mark.
