I'm Sorry about this but I still can't decide. AX10 or A1sr. I can get the AX10 for £2000 and the A1SR for £2100 so theres not a lot of difference in price. So I think its going to come down to two things (1) If I was playing a CD through a Coax digital connection which would sound better (I know its a bit unfair due to the A1SR having a "pure direct" mode but does the AX10 really sound that bad, I was under the impression both amps had similar DACs. And (2) How easy are they both to setup. I know the AX10 has a slight advantage due to it having the MCACC feature but is the A1SR very hard to setup becuase even thogh I have had three high end amps now I wouldn't say I was great at setting them up.

    Cheers.

Not sure, but isn't the "Pure Direct" mode for analog sources only!?

    Just guessing ...

Cheers Jase, at least I know that if I do go for the A1sr the Pure Direct will work. BTW if anyone actually ownes or has heard the AX10 playing CD's in a reasonable environment could you please post your feelings on how it sound compared to your previous amp.

Thanks for your replies, keep 'em coming.
