Hi, I am playing my CD's in my DVD player via my old Sony STR-DE475 Amp. I wouldnt exactly call myself a home cinema buff and my system is setup on a budget.

Now my problem maybe pretty simple for some to sort out. Obviously the cd's are in stereo format but using the two front channels they lack depth from the lower frequencies from my bookshelf speakers. My question is regarding Pro Logic II, I know Pro Logic II uses your front and surrounds but does it use the Subwoofer?

    Thanks

    Snaily

Prologic II can use your sub depending on how you set it up. With my Denon AVR I can also instruct the AVR to use the sub when playing stereo music - may be worth looking at as I personally dont like making surround sound out of stereo
