Hi.
Hope someone can help me.....??
CURRENTLEY I have a analoge cctv system installed which consists of:-
4x HD TVI 2mp 1080p Qvis Dome 30m Night vision Cameras
Avtech AVT204A DVR
Running on Coaxial Cable + Seperate Power Supply for each camera.
The 2 CCTV fitted lower down on the house have an intermitant problem. Sometimes do not show, sometimes black and white and at other times very dark or fuzzy. I believe the DVR is faulty as the Vidio out bnc connector for the TV broke and I tried welding it on but wasn't very successful.....
I am thinking of buying a Hikvision NVR instead of a DVR to run the same current cameras and then in future I can just swap the cameras for better cameras. I want to know if I buy an NVR what else will I need to run the current analouge cctv cameras off the same coaxial wire? Is it even possible? Do I just get a analoge to digital signal converter (bnc to rj45) for each camera (how much do these cost?) and use the orignal power wire to power each cctv camera?
Please help?
