CCTV bnc & power cable

Hi all

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

I have recently purchased a Zosi cctv system and the kit cane with x 4 60ft cables. 1 of my cameras needed a 100ft cable to reach the dvr so I purchased a different brand one from amazon.

Since I have connected the 100ft cable to the dvr/camera the camera briefly freezes and loses signal when the camera switches from day to night mode and vice versa?

It's not an issue with the camera as it works fine on the supplied 60ft cable.

Is it likely to be an issue with the cable brand or a power issue?

Thanks in advance

I would imagine that the voltage drop on the cable is slightly too high, causing the camera to drop out momentarily. Does the power cable look thinner than the original?

or the shear length of the cable video cable is causing too much signal loss

replacing the cable with some low loss stuff might improve things but before you do go with noiseboys suggestion and try to power the camera from a closer source and see what happens
