Does anyone know if the expanding foam which is injected into cavaity walls to help prevent heat loss will also help with sound proofing the room?

Basically I want to increase the volumn of my 5.1 sound system and I am afraid that it will annoy my neighbours - would the expanding foam help in anyway?

not as much as proper soundproofing, it might stop a bit of resonance but other than that i cant see that it would have a huge effect

if not im gona have to move coz the old dear next door is driving me nuts,we were sat watching pirates of the caribean day after boxing day,sub switched off,on night time mode and me sat with remote in my hand turning it up and down all the bloody way through, till she knocks on the wall 12.30 at night. so we had to switch off, wouldn.t care but we couldn't even hear the talking
