had freeview for one year (no probs) from the Wrekin transmitter. But over the las week have had very bad breaking up from around 16.30 - midnight, then no sound from midnight to ??? Its fine in the morning when i get up (but sometimes needs resetting)

im using the old ondig nokia box and my signal strength is full - normally.

i didnt think it was a thermastat - due to the lenght of dissruption.

any ideas what could disrupt the signal for that much time???

You might have a faulty street lamp which is causing interference.

i thought that aswell - sounds about the right times.

managed to check yesterday when the light came on (1620) interferance started at 1640.

may be only when its warmed up, today the light was on at 1610 and the interferance started at 1630.

can you screen for anything like lights or will i have to wait weeks for the council to check it out?

"Try breaking the light so it doesn't work"

that was looking like plan A - got up this morning though to discover the light was still on but the interferance had gone :(

go the form from OFCOM so maybe i will let them investigate.

there are a few horizontal lines appearing on the anologue (thin and fatish flashes) as well as the digital.

I can see the Wrekin trasmitter whilst i type :p, i too had this on BBC4,i reset the box(Pioneer) and it has been fine since. I was on my way home from Shrewsbury last night and noticed some VERY bright lights around the transmitter,me thinks they may be doing some work on it..........off to check engineering schedule..............
