Cause of picture break up?

Hi all,

My picture on Freesat has just started pixelating, and on HD its virtually unwatchable.

Its fine all day but has just started playing up now when we sit down to watch the footie:rolleyes:

According to my G10 the signal strength and quality are both full. So what is the cause of the break up?

I'm open to suggestions.

This sounds like a local source of interference. Try turning off any wifi routers or cordless phones you may have. Don't have the TV but the freesat box I have it's best to use manual tune to check signal strength and quality, Check transponder 10847 V 22000 5/6 (The BBC HD transponder)

Thanks for that.

Unfortunately AFAIK it isn't possible to manual tune the freesat receiver built into the G10. Under 'freesat signal condition' the parameters are the same as transponder you've described above.

I've been up this morning and checked all my connections and its all running fine at the moment. We'll see what happens at 8pm tonight....

You don't have to be in freesat conditions. The only difference in the channels you can watch in non-freesat mode (or whatever Panny call it) is that in freesat mode you get the epg and in the other just now and next. Signal strength, quality and receprion are identical - Same satellite, same transponder, same channel. It's a lot easier to diagnose problems when you can dial in an individual transponder.
