    Hi.

Totally stuck on this great game.

I have got through most of the first potrait, got the items for the ghost, but have no idea what to do next. There is a ledge with a powerup on it, but can't jump high enough to get it?

Anyone else got this game and would care to enlighten me?

You have to obtain the double jump, you need to find the bloke whos stood next to the bloke who sells stuff, dont go in any painting until you have explored the whole outer area

I haven't played PoR so far, but in previous games I've found the map to be invaluable. Keep an eye on it and check to see if there are areas you have yet to explore. Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs! :D

I forget where you get the double jump from now..

Ive basically opened up 98% of the paintings maps and 64% of the main map, managed to find that bloke again EVENTUALLY, still not done his quest to get meat off a butcher, no idea where that he is. looks like i need to gain some sort of ability to crawl through tight spaces as well but i have no idea where to go, oh well keep on trying

    Excellent game tho

I don't have Portrait of Ruin, but normally in Castlevania games you can slide though small spaces by holding down then pressing jump. (Unless the gap isn't on the floor?)

I've been playing Dawn of Sorrow for the last few days, finished it last night.

Ive worked it out now, I wont spoil it for anyone else but im now in the forest of doom and progressing nicely. Really is an excellent game and Im just worried i wont like dawn of sorrow as much because it doesnt have the tag team stuff and is apparently more like the old skool castlevanias which I could never get into.

This is my main game at the moment, done 7 hours on it now, even mario 64 ds and yoshi island 2 have gone on the back burner so it must be good !

Hmm completed the game, ive got a feeling theres a lot more to do but i cant figure out how, theres still a room behind the last bosses you dont get to go in and a room at the top covered by some kind of force. i read you can 2000% on the game but ive only got 494% and ive covered all the maps to about 98%....

How many hours did you spend on the game? I remember clocking around 25 hours on Circle of the Moon, which for me has been the best handheld iteration of the series to date!

nearly 9 hours, including deaths to bosses probably nearer 10. Its annoying me not knowing how to get the better ending.

The game is quite challenging in parts but i wouldnt say its VERY hard. Anyway ive ordered the other one but im not expecting it to be as good as you only have 1 character.

Definitely one of the top games on the machine and Ill certainly be buying the sequel
