Just curious as no one ever talks about Castle speakers. They get a good write up in the hi fi press but rarely talked about for movies. Has anyone tried them for HC and what was your opinion?

I only ever demoed a pair of Castle Tays a while back which I actually quite liked, a lot.

Then I was distracted by KEF.

However, I must admit to quite liking them as a range. They are certainly attractive speakers. The Howard has good write ups for sure. I think they are simply overlooked.

I liked the Severns in MK II mode from what I read about them. Seen a few about and they do have a presence, for me anyway.

I'd get a good demo if I were you. Why not? They'll certainly beat a lot of other speakers around.

I used to have Castle Howard S2's on front with the Keep as the center. I thought they were very good - the Howard's I owned for some time and as main fronts (esp with music), I was very impressed. Until I heard the Martin Logans....!

I did hear that castle have been quiet recently because of the sales flop that was the Inversion range. They are soon to release a 5.1 sub/sat system and two dealers have told me it's very good. One was signing up with castle just to get that package.

Inversion kit just looked awful to me.

The original range is far more friendly looking for sure.

    As for the sound......................?
