Anyone know the name of the casino's that De Niro runs in the movie????
Not sure how it's spelt but that's the answer.
...........But what about the others????
Riviera Hotel (called the Tangiers in the film)
Towers of Bable ?
Thats all i could find.
What do you mean what about the others???
He only runs one casino in the film!!!
That's what i thought.
If my memory serves me correctly (and it usually doesn't!!). He actually has control of 4 casino's but you only really see him in the one.
Probably a dream, although I don't often dream about men before you ask
I'm dead certain he doesn't.
I will watch the film again (now - as I have it upstairs) and get back to you.
Although again, I'm certain he doesn't run more than one.
Your probably right, I think I'll watch it tonight aswell!!!!!
If thats not the case, I can't work out where I got that from..... perhaps its in one of the Gangster/Casino books I've read?????
Are you sure your not thinking of Oceans Eleven ?
Talking of Casino, anyone know of a decent version coming out?
The curent R2 DVD transfer is of both high sound & vision quality (infact the picture is one of the best I've seen).
Are you saying 'descent' in terms of extras? Or for a guess DTS?
I have the region 2 and the PQ is poor, although not too bad for non-anamorphic. Has there been an anamorphic release?
I certainately believe there has - although it's fairly recent in comparison to when the film was made.
The region 2 version on the Play website looks like the same one I have.
I do hope you don't expect the above statement to be taken seriously.
Man, you're TV must be really crap then. I had the R2 version of Casino and had to get rid of it due to the PQ being so Dire. Opt for the R1 if you are going to purchase the film. The PQ is a lot more tolerable but still not brilliant.
I must have a rogue copy of it then because mine's fine!
That's ok man. We still love ya :kisses:
I've got a r2 copy of Casino which I've had for quite a while, and the picture looks great to me - by no means anywhere near 'dire' or bad enough to return. That link on 'play.com' shows the cover with 'widescreen' written at the botom in red - mine does not have that so not sure if I have the non-anamorphic version.
Separate names with a comma.
