Hey guys/gals (though I suspect there won't be that many of those)
OK, this time it's not about technical knowledge I'm after, but some wise words.

    OK, to the point:
Cashflow is pretty limited at the moment, at most I'll be able to shell out around 150£.
    I want a 5.1, and I have 2 choices:

1/ I go for the cheapest option possible, like a 20£ ebay deal, like this, then, in 6 to 9 months time I can go for a 3-400£ AIO.

2/ I go for a Pana SC-PT460 or Sony DAV-DZ260 that I can keep for a bit longer, like 18 months, then go for separates, with roughly a 800-1k budget.
That option has a big advantage, it means in 6 months, I'll have the cash for my PS3!

I realize you need a bit more info about the set-up:
    TV's a Pana 42 PZ80
    V+'s getting installed on Monday
I've got a Wii and a crappy DVD player

Obviously, my heart tends towards option 2, but it's already a stretch on my finances... Ahhh, decisions, decisions... So any pearl of wisdom?

That's a toughie.... only you can decide. But for what it's worth I'd say option 2 as the DAVD260 is a mighty fine piece of kit. You'd have to pick up an optical switcher £10 from ebay if you want to connect multiple devices into it however

I'd have gone for the sony,, better sounding, IMO, and an optical input thats not crippled(DTS on sony, no DTS on panasonic).
