I've had Sky+ for a few weeks now and I'm very pleased with it.
Taking the cover off to prepare for upgrading the hard disk I noticed it has a cooling fan. This, to my knowledge has never come into action.
Should it be on all/most of the time, or just when the case overheats?

    Steve.

It is temp sensitive so if your SKY+ is well ventilated and works within the normal operating temp the fan won't be activated.
    Details in the user manual:)
