What do you do with your plasma screen carry handles?

I left mine on as you can see in the picture marked StooMonster here.

This was because I can't put the screen on the wall without them, and needed to take move screen for decorating, and can't take them off while it's up there as I don't have a right-angled screw driver thing. Besides you can only see them from one seat in the house.

However, I've had a couple of comments about it; and noticed in "Get plasmas out for the lads" that some screens have them on and others do not.

    So, here's my first poll.

they really bothered me looking at the pictures of the plasma on the net. I thought I'm taking them off the moment I get the screen. Then, having put it on the wall myself, I have never noticed them. Plus i guess if it was someone any smaller than me they'd be hard pressed to take that thingy off the wall w/o the handles. Also, I could feel the screen casing bend under the fingers when I wasn't halding it by the hendles.

I guess they are mainly there for heavy business lease usage. For the home user it shouldn't hurt to much to take them off. I'd definately do if I was mouning it on the stand.

IIRC the handles on my panny were little nuts with a screw head in the top. I took mine off while the unit was on the wall by using a pair of long nose pliers :)

What? Can't find the picture, or the carry handles on the plasma in the picture?

Eitherway, i should've also added a "my plasma doesn't have carry handle to remove category" -- wonder if I can change a poll?

This is the second time in a week that people have complained of some of my pictures on AVforums not displaying. Thanks for letting me know, this highlights that a server that should be up 24/7 is having some problems and it's time I called the Admin (again).

    Ah... StooMonster Towers.

Seriously thanks for letting me know about the picture not always being visible.

Took mine off as soon as i got it out of the box, no need for them even when putting the Plasma on the wall bracket IMHO.
