I bought a multi card reader/writer from Ebuyer about a year ago. they still sell it here .
I have stuck it into a 3 1/2" floppy drive hole in my PC case (where it fits reasonably well) and run the lead out to the USB sockets at the back. At the time I could not find an 'internal' type unit that included xD support.
There are loads of reviews on the ebuyer site - mostly the same as my experience - just plug it in under XP and it works. It shows in windows explorer as 4 different drive letters. When a card is plugged in one of the four has content the other 3 have 'please insert disc' if you click on them. At first you find the right one by guesswork
