    Hi
Going to get a hd box and install it myself we have a sky+ box in the living room and a standard box upstars, the new hd box is going in the living room and i would like to put the sky+ upstairs ,am i right in thinking that i pair the hd box with the card from the standard box and by leaving the card in the sky+ box this will still work with all the sky + functions by running another lead from the dish to it.
    Thanks Alan.

    Hi,
just done the same thing myself this week - your existing sky+ card needs to be paired with the HD box & then during the callback from Sky to authorise that card, they pair the original card (from the std box) with your sky+ box. Seemed a bit complicated to me - I thought it would be as you had descibed but who am I to argue with Sky. Be aware though - all the programs on my Sky+ box in the planner came up with "interrupted - please wait". None of them were accessible after the viewing card switch. dump them to dvd/vcr or watch them before you switch.
    Cheers
    Ray
