Is the CARA software worth the time, money and effort?

its very complex for a small space, there are online mode calc apps that will tell you potential room problems for free, but if your designing and want to use it to help with that it can be useful

    Hi There,

I found it very helpful when designing my home cinema, it gave me a reference to a potential room and as such helped ease some of my decisions....how truely worthwhile i don't know as i never made the other rooms though.

I have found it a useful tool, but i also put in a lot of effot trying to design acurate models of my loudspeakers which are not quite the norm. Maybe worth looking on the cara.de web site to see if yours are listed.

As with a lot of tools its the amount of effot you put into learning them and using them that they return....This one is not quick, and the closer and closer you model things the more acurate you get, but its all theoretical at the end of the day as real life is always more complex.....it can help get you close though.

    cya,
    Lee
