Anyone ever buy from the UK based car supermarkets?

I was wondering if you are able to haggle with them on price, or is the listed price what you have to pay?

I've known a few who have got discounts.

Got one myself when negotiating a deal (fell through in the end as they'd already sold the car!) a few years back.

    Nothing monster (double digit) though.

You don't ask you don't get lol.

I have bought a couple of cars from car people and have been told by them both times that the price is the price. They said they try and turnover lots of cars for a small profit on each. I found them pretty cheap and they never pester you while you are looking round. Car craft on the other hand never leave you alone and try and badger you into buying there and then.

I have used FOW (Fords of Windsford) and they would budge, but my understanding the margins a low... its still worth asking even if its £100 its better in your pocket than theirs.

Yeah I came across that FOW crowd too whilst searching for well stocked mainland retailers.

Have they a good reputation? Seem to be a professional looking outfit with a good website, and plenty of cars for sale.

There was no pressure, other than to buy extra warranty. Their reputation was good, buts is more than 6yrs since I last used them.
