Car Stereo - Reading MP3s from DVD-R disks

Hi,

Does anyone know of a car stereo that will read and play MP3s from DVD-R disks?

Ideally not too expensive.

No, you will need a dvd player to " read" the data from the dvd disks. Would not be worth it unless you went A/V in the car.

There are single-din DVD units that resemble regular headunits:

e.g. the KDV-3241Y
(I just listed kenwood as I know their site, other makes have similar devices)

So while they don't have dvd playback (unless on an external monitor), most of them can be used to play back mp3 from DVD disks.
