    Reading these threads on car theft, made me wonder if you can get a cheap GPS tracker and phone app. Any thoughts?

    Interesting, you'd think something like that would be available? Tempted to have tracker fitted again on my new car just for piece of mind but a cheap GPS tracker should also work.

    Something you could hide in the car would do the job, just a matter of charging it

    Googled it last night and there are loads around. Some very cheap. Will have a better look later.

    Perhaps an old iPhone and track it with find my friends? Wire it in behind the dash and it'll keep topping up the charge when the car is on.

    Do you have a desirable car, high on the theft list? If not, i wouldn't bother. TBH.

    Because we've seen here this week that thieves will take a wide variety of cars, doesn't need to be exotic.
