    Hi folks,

Wonder if someone could help me with this query.

I'm a freelance games journo and am looking to capture video from Xbox, GameCube and PS2 consoles - probably via S-VHS.

I've spent some time looking around the forum, and the many different products available from simple capture cards to PVR cards. And I'm bewildered by the vast number of products around.

I wonder if someone could suggest a budget option (under £100) that would enable me to do the following:

1, Capture in the full resolution of the input
    2, Capture in 16:9 and 4:3
3, Hardware encoding (I've only 1.2 GHz PC)
4, Watch the image while capturing (as I'll need to control the game)

I want to be able to capture in the highest possible quality as these movies would then go on a commercial website that I edit. I'd consider something more in a PVR/TV Line if this extra functionality wasn't at the expense of the capture quality.

Can anyone advise some capture hardware to look at?

    Thanks in advance

    H
