    Hi,

Is there a way of capturing small sections, approx 5 - 10mins of DVD from an PC internal DVD?

Want to use this for some visual effects at a live band gig.......

I am very new to this so if there is a way please don't go too technical straight off the bat!

    Many thanks

    Lester

Copyright protection within commercial DVD's prevents this.

There are very involved ways in which this can be done, however. To start see DVD Rip in http://www.vcdhelper.com/

Thanks, yeah I have started to look at all the ripping software - does seem a lot of hassle just for a couple of images on stage...

    may still try it.........

    thanks though.

I use smartripper. It's freeware and very good! Try a search and you should find it. I think my version is 2.25.
