    Hello

I have purchased a new Computer for Video Editing, Spec As follows: -
AMD Athlon XP 2000+, Windows XP Pro, 80 GB H Drive, 512 Ram, Hercules 3D Prophet all in wonder 8500 DV Graphics Card.

My problem is that the DV slot on my PC is not the same size as the lead that fits my Camcorder (Sony DCR-TRV 30E); I have tried to purchase an adaptor in local electrical retailers (Curry’s & Dixon’s) with no luck so far.

I tried to use the S Video and audio sockets but it failed to capture the footage. I am using Ulead video studio 5.0

    Can anyone help Please?

    Leslie

Sounds like you have a IEEE 1394 - 4 pin on your camera and an IEEE 1394 - 6 pin on your computer, very common! A trip to Radio Shack with about $39.99 USD will get the cable you need. If you have a 4 pin to 4 pin cable they have an adpter for $9.99 USD.
    good luck
