I'm more or less sold on the cantons.
    4 x CD10 + CD50 (£236 via power buy - bargain)

These will be driven by an SONY STRDB 940 receiver for the moment - but will be upgraded to a better spec receiver in about 6 months (pioneer vsx 2014 maybe)

The questions I have are as follows:

Should I go for the Velodyne CHTR10 sub or the Canton AS25SC sub? Which will sound/perform better. The velodyne quotes it goes down to 28hz where as the canton goes down to 22hz. Any comments or suggestions. Does anyone run the Cantons with a velo sub. I more leaned towards the velodyne due to its recommendations and its ease to integrate with other speakers.

The other question was the cantons quote 45/80watts power handling.
Why does it quote 2 figures and will my amp / future amp be too powerful for these speakers. I do not want to blow the speakers if the amp is supplying too much power.

    Thanks in advance guys.

    Mornin'

I have done exactly that, I have run the said Canton system with the Canton sub and Velodyne sub, Honeydragon is right in saying that the AS22 integrates very well with the system and for music is excellant but the velodyne is better. Goes lower!!! and louder, very musical, but for film is exceptional with the CD's.

    Regards
