I would say that is for one of them, all the rest of the speakers are costed singly so i think those are as well. I have been spending too much time on that site!

As AV Sales have them up for £1000 for a pair I would agree that the price is probably only for one.

brightonrvf, i know what you mean about being on the site, i keep going on to have a look.

£1000 in AV sales compared to €700, once you convert that is double the price, and with shipping only about 50-60 euros that is some savings alright.

Suppose the only downside is you have to buy without hearing, unless you know someone with them.

It really is shocking that the price difference is so much. I really would like to hear how they can charge so much for the Cantons over here.

Distributors over here should complain about this, I'm sure they can understand why people would prefer to buy overseas given that it is relatively easy and the amount of money that can be saved.

Any guys from AV Sales here have any opinions?

I must admit , I would have preffered to buy from AV-Sales but just could not justify paying more than double for them !!

And you're not the only one...

Hayes, this must annoy you as you probably lose a lot of sales, any comments?

Agreed, the price cuts they have atm are sooo tempting and i have heard them when i demoed my plasma at AV-Sales, they sounded fantastic, they had the cd 100's with the cd 10's as rears. Then just the cd 10's by themselves and even that sounded good.

Best thing is to demo them and then buy them else where, have a ring round your local places, it isnt fair but then paying double isnt either!

The set up you have specced looks great, what sub are you going for? How big is your room? I really like the idea of either the 4.22 set up or front cd 50s, centre 360 and rear cd 10s.

Sub would be coming along once the finances recover from the speakers. But when i do i'll be looking along the lines of either the XLS200 or MJ 100.

    It will be going into a room 5m X 5m x 3m.

Still not sure whether i'll get the Canton or not, i'm weighting up the options of going for MA S8's for the front and 3 X silver Sfx for surrounds which i think would be the same price as buying the 7 canton speakers.

See i already have the MA silver 10i centre so if i go the canton route then i'll sell my MA centre cause it won't match.

I doubt it ,no one likes the customer knowing how much profit they make.
You work it out, even if they bought them at the price we can get them they would be in the £££££££.

That's a fair point, but at the moment a lot of potential sales are driven overseas. If there was no advantage to buying from Germany, then maybe more would buy from the UK. Although the only negative point regarding buying the Cantons is pricing. Catch 22

    OMG !!!
what a difference , just changed the satellites and front for now (sub needs new cable run) and used my existing all in one dvd/amp (lg-DA5620)
I can't believe the difference in the sound , just played Radiohead - The Bends CD , never realised there was so much depth in the music

Wife now very pleased - she's almost forgotten the amount I've spent (LCD tv , HTPC , wall brackets etc)
Can't wait to put new amp and sub in
