Canton mix and match?

    Anyone help

    Is there any issues with using cd100s as front left and right with a Canton cd1 set??

    You could try it. Using the 100's would improve your HiFi/music sound. I'm running the CD1's myself, and notice that the centre speaker in the 2.22 set linked above is actually bigger. I'm told it might be the same thing as the 100's but without the stand bases. Using the larger centre with the 100's would probably provide better integration, but I've never heard it for myself to speak definitively. You could phone Standesign, the UK Canton rep and ask for advice??

    If you take a look at the cd1 thread,you will see hayes at av-sales reckons if you use the cd100's left and right you really need something like the cd50 as the centre.

    I would agree with that. I have never tried this mind, but I would imagine that the CD100's are a little "strong" for a CD1 Centre. Could struggle with movies.

    the CD50 is the ideal match for the CD100/300 fronts...... but still get better muscial performance... and wont harm movies.......
