I currently have a CD-1 hooked up to a Yamaha RXV350 amp in 5.1. I know the amp is low spec but I need it to fit on a shelf, and few other amps do.

I seem to have a rather large flat spot / dead zone in the upper base / lower mid range areas when listening to music. I was wondering whether replacing the standard centre with a CD-50 would open up the mid range a bit. Any suggestions?
