seems to me almost nobody on the forum has any experience with Canton products. I tried asking around when I was checking them out but .....alas, no answers.

I haven't heard these you are thinking of but I love my Canton center and back speakers. They rock! Fit in perfectly with my B&W...

I have experience of canton, they lovely speakers like have a search for Canton using search facility, we should have some on demo soon, only weak point is the sub which is good for movies but struggles on very low stuff as all compact subs do you could buy CD200 fornts and matching centre and rears (CD300 are very nice but a few £££ more) an budget for an MJ ref100 in silver or perhaps a REL Sub.
