Hi as above i have all my hd-dvd's as iso files on my whs and am running out of space so decided to try makemkv to see if i can get some space back.

So i backup in makemkv and select all the english subs the reulting file plays okay but don't get any subs forced or not.

Any ideas

Thanks

Robert

what software are you using to play back?

is there a setting to enable/disable subs in vlc? Sorry don't use it.

Are the subs external files separate to the mkv (eg, .srt) or are they inside? If inside have you checked they are actually there? I guess mediainfo would tell you that but can't be sure.
