cant get a signal on pdp504 from htpc via dvi

    im trying to connect my pioneer pdp504hde to my htpc via an dvi-hdmi cable but i cant seem to get any signal. when connected via vga it works fine. any ideas/?

    what spec is your htpc? i.e graphics card make/model, driver version etc.

    David,

    The media box will not accept native rate via the HDMI, only by the VGA input. You could try 1280x720 @60Hz which is an HD video resolution rather than a 1280x768 computer resolution. Hope this helps.

    I'm not sure if it will take 1280x720 @ 60hz. I'm pretty sure I had to set mine at 1280x720@ 50hz before I got a picture. Then it was very impressive.

    how do i set the display properties to 1280*720 ? i can only see 1280*768 as an option...even in powerstrip.

    In Powerstrip set it using "custom".
