    Can anyone please help me?

I bought my parents an LG LV710 VCR for Christmas. The trouble is I can't get a picture from the Telewest cable box (Explorer 4000DVB) on the VCR. I can hear the audio from the cable channels but all I get is a blue screen. I can receive the terrestrial channels okay via the standard aerials.

The connections I have used are all Scart cables: One from the TV (Ferguson T70171RI) to the cable box, one from the cable box to the VCR and one from the VCR to the TV.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

If you can hear the sound you are on the right input. Dodgy scart lead?

Also, you don't need a scart lead from the vcr to the tv.
The lead from the vcr to the cable stb should work both ways, playback as well as recording.
