    Hi,
I am looking for a tv show/series. It had only few part, a short lived series.
As I remember it was about a humorous private investigator or headhunter who solved his things his own way. I thought the protagonist's role was played by Guy Pearce but I could not find this tv show under his name- it was a quite handsome man in the series. It was aired in the 2000s around Dexter and Lost series.
It played in a sunny place with palm trees in city like Florida or maybe in Australia (according to Guy Pearce's nationality).
He had a big gun, probably a desert eagle. In the show this actor narrated the things e.g. he was after a drug dealer and the dealer was hiding behind a strong door so this headhunter said something like this: a strong door's weak point is the wall next to it- and he imitated how the dealer hid on the other side of the wall and shot him through the thin wall. He had this kind of headhunter handy wisdoms.
He had friends, a very pretty woman he owed with money or other way and maybe a boss who gave instructions to him.
I looked for it by year, by the gun, by genre but could not find it yet.
    Thank you for your help

    Bernie

If your talking Guy Pearce was it perhaps Jack Irish. It has him playing a private investigator.

I distinctly remember a show with that scene of shooting through the wall next to a door but I cant for the life of me remember what show it was.

Thanks but Jack Irish is too early. If it was Guy Pearce (or the men who looked like him)he was much younger, and Jack Irish is more serious than the men in that show.
    Thanks for your answer.

I have a vague memory of such a scene but can't bring what it was to mind at the moment.

that scene was done in one of the early eps of Burn Notice when he evicted the drug dealer from down stairs of his loft.

I've never seen Burn Notice so it wasn't that.

:) Yes, thank you. It is Burn Notice with Jeffrey Donovan, not even a short lived series- 7 seasons.
Thank you for Dick Spanner and Sledge Hammer too. Great.

For a minute I thought you were talking about The Finder which I enjoyed but it never got renewed.

Try White Collar as well if you haven't already watched it.
