can't delete video from ipod

hi,
just got an ipod 30gb video, i've been experimenting with different software to see which suits me best to get dvds onto the ipod. (cucusoft seems easiest for me). problem is whilst trying diff software i used the same dvd twice, now in my videos it shows the film twice as a file, 1 will play the other won't, but i cannot find an option to delete or clear the bad file.
i can see clear under edit, but its not highlighted to allow me to use it.

Is itunes showing two files?

Also did the software your using cost alot? only ask coz im looking for some

yes m8, it shows the 2 files, but only 1 is recognized.
