    Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

I have a MKV file on a 32GB USB memory stick which Windows won't let me delete.
When I try I get the following error message "The action can't be completed because the file is open in Windows Explorer".
It makes no difference if I restart the PC same error message occurs.
I've seen a few threads in various places with this problem but no real solution.
    Anybody any ideas?

Have you tried deleting it from a command prompt?

No I didn't but I did come across a thread via a Google search where somebody pointed towards DivX software.
After uninstalling it I've not had a problem since. Strange one really.
