I want the laptop for surfing the net.

The best I can offer is reviews to see if that helps

The 1525 has a quicker processor, and a 'wider' bus which allows faster transfer of data between CPU/memory etc, but it may be let down in graphics performance by the card it uses.

Either will browse the net with ease and you could maybe save a little going for something like this if that's all you will be doing

Get reading :D

Without wanting to piggyback on the OP i too have been looking at the Studio 15 except with the T8100 processor. Would be able run something like football manager and maybe some of the older Total War games like Rome or maybe even Medieval with it's Radeon Gfx card. Most of my gaming would be in my PS3 but it would be nice to play some games, specially Football Manager 09

I think I'm going to go for the studio15:thumbsup:

I ordered the Studio 15 with the 2.1 T8100 processor, 250GB HDD and I could not resist the backlit keyboard. I would let you know what it's like but ive been waiting 12 days so far and it's still in pre production....

There a little behind with production after a promotion in the states on them, takes time for them to ship them over. Don’t forget Dell are not made in the UK, there all specked up etc in the USA.

Oh I didn't know that. I thought they were based in Ireland or something.

So will the studio 15 play football manager 09 (As it has a new sparkly 3D pitch option) ok with this graphics card or is it worth going for the XPS?

it is worth going with the XPS range as it's very well built.

also dells for EU countries are assembled in ireland not the usa as someone mentioned

also i would buy from a reseller as you will get them cheaper and with a better spec

and should be able to get it in less than 48 hours unlike with dell you can be waiting for up to a month

Yay my studio 15 is..... next door! and their not in!. delivered this morning when I was at work so they kindly took it in for me... then went out for the day so I can't get to it now im home..bah

I looked at loads of resellers but couldnt get the exact spec I wanted so I bit the bullet and ordered through dell, maybe it did cost me a bit more but I got what I wanted... hopefully, I aint seen it yet!.
