If everything else works fine, then it's just that the channel is down or busy.

Happened to me, just try again later or tomorrow.

The forcast channel works as does the updater and the mail, Tried to contact nintendo by phone, constantly engaged, by email 3 times no reply, hmv has no idea when they will be getting any replacements.
Not very happy with Nintendo at the minute!

If your Wii is geting it's IP address automatically using DHCP, then try changing it to a static address (including manually entering the DNS addresses) - this is the only way I could get it to work.

I had the same problem - searched Google and found a suggestion on a Wii fanboy's blog/website. I'm pretty sure he suggested changing the "channel" of your wireless router from 6 (? Which I think is the usual default for most routers) to 11 (?). You need to connect to your router's settings using a web browser.

I may have got the details a bit garbled due to my dodgy memory, so check what I've said! But it definitely worked for me...

Search the forum for previous posts about this, I had more concrete, accurate information in a previous thread!
