    I had some time to kill so looked around the local curry's out of all the plasmas on show, and they where showing bbc1 and not some animated dvd source, the best was a samsung !! and the panasonic was awfull (5 series) . who makes the samsung glass ??

    Interestingly, when I did my first Plasma bake off a year or so ago, one of the guys helping me thought that the samsung was the best but for my eyes it sucked bigtime.

    I've never seen SKY look good on anything in the shops. They just can't be bothered, as it takes ages to setup a decent SKY feed in the shop.
    Only a small minority of buyers is actually aware that SKY and DVD quality will differ dramatically. An these users usually do all the research anyway. That's the salesmen sentiment and it works for them.

    My gf said that the Samsung gave a more 'real life' image then the Pioneer screen.

    I told her thats because the setup was screwed.

    Also that the Pioneer had a sharper image. She said it looked 'patchy'. I then said she'll not be making any product buying when we get a house :D
