Including their first solid state high def cams, the HF10 and HF100.
And a new HDV model, the HV30.

The first article says "Canon also announced three standard definition solid state camcorders".

Edit: Here are the press releases from Canon:

The dual flash models are interesting... 16 GB built in flash memory, plus a SD/SDHC slot.

And press releases for the other models, including the HV30

The HV30 looks very similar in specs and looks to the HV20 except its black

Seems like a good time to buy the HV20, as previous poster states, dosen't seem much difference in the spec, other than it's black, although how do you make something as good as the HV20 better;)
The only weak point IMO of the HV20 is it's plasticy design, maybe black gives a different impression

Yes... black must be back in fashion. The Sony HC9 looks pretty much identical to the HC7, except it is black...

Well I am happy, as a relatively new owner of the HV20 I won't be jealous of HV30 owners.
Maybe I'll get the black spray paint out:D

I am Very disapointing set of new cameras from all manufacturers so far. Nothing pushing the envelope, no real improvements in either the HC9 or the HV30, and whilst am having a rant, the hard disk models (from Sony) have features they should have put in the HC9, and why did they remove the headphone input from these models?? Why no new version of the CX6 or a fully featured version of flash disk model?.
I am still no wiser what to buy !
