I took my 400D into Jessops yesterday to be repaired under warranty. The CF release is broken. Jessops have sent it away and said it will take 7 weeks to repair!

My car was parked on a yellow line outside, so I did not have time to argue, but does this sound usual?

I was not bothered about having it repaired for my own use, but wanted it fixed before selling it to buy a 40D. I can't be without the camera for that long, so a new 40D arrives tomorrow, and I will sell the 400D when it (eventually) comes back...

It'll probably take 6 weeks for Jessops to send to Canon....
