Hi guys, i'm a novice so not sure if this is the right forum but anyway...

I've had a Canon Ixus i for 6months which is the coolest digital camera ever :) I use the video function often & even though the quality isn't exactly perfect it's nice to have. Problem is i was interesting in editing them, joining etc & so i bought MAGIX movie edit pro 2004 & reviews from amazon. However it won't except any of my movies what-so-ever  It seems to want it in .mvd format & nothing else. My video's upload in .avi format & i convertered them to .wmv & it still didn't detected them! It just says "bad format". I payed £35 for the software & it's no use atall! Any help or advice would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Yes thanks i've tried windows movie maker & it has everything that i need. Unfortunetly it crashes far too much & i lose alot of my work. I downloaded vegas movie studio 4.0 & that works great. Only a 30day trial but i may just have to forget about that wasted money & fork out for the full copy
