I know you photography experts must be tired of posts like this but here goes.
I want a simple camera for simple snapshots. From what little I've read I need :
1. rechargeable batteries and charger.
2. a memory card.

Soooo.......
Is the above a good deal at £100 from Amazon?
Are there better ones at this price level ?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Do a search on google for 'canon a60 review' - there are lots. One of the best sites listed (IMO) is imaging-resource. The camera in question seems to get a general thumbs up from everyone. And at that price, i dont think you can go wrong.

I would however find somewhere locally that has one (or the similar a70), just to get a feel of the size and weight.

Hi Dean
Thanks for your advice. I've searched as you suggest and it looks OK so I'll give it a go.
Thanks again
