canon pixma mp640 or mg5250

I am thinking of upgrading my canon ip6700d printer for a multifunction unit and would welcome any help in deciding which one to purchase. I know the mp640 is now obsolete, and the mg5250 may not quite meet exactly the same high specifications of the mp640. Is there anyone out there who may have one of these or even sampled both whom may be able to help me decide which to go for as each are selling for approx. £110 on Amazon.
Any help or advise would be appreciated.
