    Hi All

Totally new to this and looking to buy an entry level Digital Camera. The 2 I have looked at appear pretty similar in spec - the Samsung Digimax 230 and the Canon PS A40.

Anyone care to give me any advice as to which is the better buy?

    Thanks in advance

    Paul.

Canon has more creative features. (more ISO settings, manual modes etc). reviews complain that the samsung is slow but its cheaper than the power shot!

But if you want a point and shoot both are good and it should be a case of play with them in a shop and see what suits you.

Id personally go for the A40 as you may outgrow the samsung. Tha A40 will take a little longer to grow out of, but its all a matter of taste!
