I am new to video camcorder. My initial intention is to buy the Panasonic NV-GS27 model. However, I know of someone who was given the Canon MV880x as a gift and willing to sell the brand new MV880x set to me at half the retail price. As a result, the MV880x is slightly cheaper than the NV-GS27. From the specification point of view, the MV800x is definitely more impressive. However, Canon camcorders seem to have various problems such as recording motor noise, infamous remove cassette warning, tape eating and poor low light performance. Does anyone know whether the MV880X model comes with these problems too? If MV880x still carries the same problems as the older Canon models, then I would rather go for Panasonic NV-GS27.
