    Hi

I am a total Newbie and hoping someone can help?

I have just got a Canon MV500 and it is working great but I need to transfer to my PC and this is where the problems are coming.

I have a USB2 / Firewire combo card installed in my PC (win2000 Pro).

Because I am getting short of space on the internal HDD I have an external HDD connected via one of the USB2 ports - it works great.

When I connect the Canon MV500 to the PC via the Firewire cable that came with the Combo Card and then run say winDV there can be a problem 'seeing' the MV500 - sometimes it sees it ok other times it cannot. Usually switching off and on the MV500 sorts it out.

When it does actually see the MV500 (it shows up as Microsoft DV Camera and VCR) and I press the 'Capture' button nothing happens!

I have tried also with Nero Vision Express and this sees the MV500 better but it does not show any option to capture.

There is something wrong here but I have no idea what.

    Any help .... Please

    Thanks

    Kevin
