Canon Lens needed (Cheap as poss)

Hi,
I'm on the look out for a cheap place to buy a Canon 17-40 F4l, the lens is not for me ( as I already have one ) but for my neighbor. He keeps on using my one so have told to to get his own.

I got mine a while ago from 7dayshop, which now does not do canon gear, and the cheapest so far he has found is £589:00

So can anyone better this price ?? I have seen them on E-bay whcich are sold from HongKong but not to sure about in port tax and VAT, but are only £425 ish.

He did also ask if Sigma do a Pro glass lens ??

Any help on this matter would be great

I know they are not cheap.I have two myself, but was just asking if anyone knew of the best / cheapest place to buy was, like I said I used to get all my gear from 7dayshop, so have not shopped around much.

So was just asking for some advice, thats all.
